GALLE, Sri Lanka (CMC):Though West Indies face a steep challenge to remain alive in the opening Test, left-hander Darren Bravo believes the batsmen still need to remain positive on today’s penultimate day.The Caribbean side will begin the day still 166 runs adrift of making Sri Lanka bat again after they were dismissed for 251 in their first innings yesterday and forced to follow on, then finished on 67 for two.”I think it is important that as a batting unit we stay positive as much as possible,” the stylish batsman told a post-match media conference.”Obviously, (Rangana) Herath is definitely a threat. He has been bowling fantastically well, so it is important that we show him that sort of respect, but he if bowls a bad ball, we have to put it away.”It is important as a batting unit we stay positive. I think it is very important that we back our defence as well. It is a very good batting wicket and as long as you spend time you will get runs under your belt.”Bravo top-scored with an attractive 50, tail-ender Jerome Taylor chipped in with 31 while both Devendra Bishoo and Denesh Ramdin got 23.”We weren’t able to capitalise on the starts that we got. I, myself, gave away my wicket after reaching a half-century, (Jermaine) Blackwood started well, (Denesh) Ramdin got a start and the captain (Jason Holder) also got a start,” Bravo pointed out.
