DANIEL ADMITS: ‘I DON’T MIND PEOPLE MAKING JOKES ABOUT ME’

first_imgCLEAN-cut singer Daniel O’Donnell says he expects to have jokes made about him – but doesn’t care!“It’s almost a pat in the back that people can talk about you when you’re not there and the audience knows who you are,” insisted the Donegal singer.“I’m amazed I’m that well-known that people can use me in any way. I don’t think they’re nasty, they’re just joking.” The Kincasslagh singer – about to do a tour of America and Canada –  says his choice of country music was always going to be criticised.“When I started singing, I didn’t do what was of my generation. I should have been singing pop music … I went against the grain from the very beginning.”“If I wanted to blend in, then I would have sung pop music. But that’s not where my heart was,” he said.© 2011 donegaldaily.com, all Rights Reserved The copying, republication or redistribution of donegaldaily.com Content, including by framing or similar means, is expressly prohibited by law.Follow us on www.twitter.com/donegaldailyFollow us on www.facebook.com/donegaldailySell anything on www.donegaldailyclassifieds.comDANIEL ADMITS: ‘I DON’T MIND PEOPLE MAKING JOKES ABOUT ME’ was last modified: November 24th, 2011 by BrendaShare this:Click to share on Facebook (Opens in new window)Click to share on Twitter (Opens in new window)Click to share on LinkedIn (Opens in new window)Click to share on Reddit (Opens in new window)Click to share on Pocket (Opens in new window)Click to share on Telegram (Opens in new window)Click to share on WhatsApp (Opens in new window)Click to share on Skype (Opens in new window)Click to print (Opens in new window) Tags:daniel o’donnelldonegallast_img
