Tuesday, ESPN released a list of the top 50 players in college football. The No. 1 player does not play for a ‘Power 5’ team.The top player in the country, according to ESPN, is Houston Cougars defensive tackle Ed Oliver. Oliver is a 6-foot-3, 290-pound stud who is entering his junior season.At the moment, Mel Kiper has Oliver ranked as the top player on his big board when it comes to the 2019 NFL Draft. He’s expected to both have an incredible season and be the top pick in next year’s draft.Oliver, in his sophomore campaign, finished with 73 tackles, 5.5 sacks and two forced fumbles. He’s followed by West Virginia quarterback Will Grier, Clemson defensive lineman Christian Wilkins and Clemson defensive tackle Dexter Lawrence.Clemson and Alabama, the top two ranked teams in the country, have five players each on the list.
