first_img Share In the months following the shooting at Santa Fe High School, administrators at a nearby Houston school district are cautiously preparing for a new year.After a school shooting occurs somewhere in the country, it’s become regular procedure at Aldine ISD to review their safety measures and protocols, according to the district’s Assistant Superintendent of Administration Kenneth Knippel. While the Santa Fe shooting happened close to home, he says their increased attention on school safety was initially sparked by the shooting at Sandy Hook in 2012.
