Vijayawada: A week-long integration programme is underway with Nuova Accademia di Belle Arti (NABA) University, Milan at Samana College of Design Studies (SCDS) here. NABA heads Dr Luke, design department head and Michielu, fashion department professor have come to Vijayawada for the strategic implementation of the partnership which involves the SCDS faculty training as per the NABA standards and teaching methodology which is done once in six months, said SCDS founder chairman Samana here on Wednesday. Also Read – TDP blames government for sand scarcity in Tirupati Advertise With Us Speaking on the occasion, Samana said that the integration programme with NABA commenced on June 24 and will continue till June 29 which includes validating and upgrading the undergraduate programmes at SCDS on Fashion Design Degree, Interior Design degree and also hands on workshop with the students of SCDS. She said that NABA provides a wide range of programmes to meet the needs of international art and design students. Under the UG Programme for both ID and FD students of SCDS they will get an opportunity to do part of their course in the 3rd and 5th semester with the experts in Milan for 2 months. She further said that SCDS is the first institution to have a tie-up with NABA University in South India. About 22 students will fly to Milan on August 23 as part of the study exchange programme, she added.
